  TASK1: Describe something that you are doing now but did notexpect to do ten years ago.

  Sample Answer: Being a teacher is exactly what I couldn’t foreseeten years ago. You see, I am not that kind of person who is cut out to be ateacher, cuz I suffered a lot from stage fright and the thought of making anypublic speech was killing me, not to mention lecturing in front of dozens ofstudents. But, people keep talking how important the ability of interpersonalcommunication, making presentations and pitching is, especially when you enteruniversities and workplaces. In order to get myself better equipped with suchcapability, I attended some classes and practice a lot. It turns out that I canstill have a clear mind and keep talking and interacting with the students for,like hours, on the podium.

  TASK2[今日考题]:If there were the last piece of land for green plants, would you like to haveany more buildings on it?

  Sample Answer: I’ve always got my easy answers to such questions.I would treasure the last piece of land for greenery by keeping it intactinstead of building anything upon it. To start off, plants are beneficial forthe environment in the community. With greenery consuming carbon dioxide andreleasing health-boosting oxygen, the neighborhood will become a much betterplace to live. In that case, I would even urge the city to do the other wayaround. By that I mean, try to expand and restore the areas for greenery ratherthan considering whether more buildings are needed, striking for a balancebetween the human civilization and nature.

  TASK2[20160625考题]:如何使用社区的一块新近开辟的地,用于种植花草还是给小孩建造playground。

  I prefer touse this piece of land for gardening. Plants are beneficial for the environmentin the community. With greenery consuming carbon dioxide and releasinghealth-boosting oxygen, the neighborhood will become a much better place tolive. For an example, people living there don’t have to walk extra distance todo morning exercise. Instead, they can simply stay beside the small gardenstretching their bodies. Plus, plants will add some colors to the community,making it more attractive, since there are not only concrete structures butalso green trees and fragrant flowers.

  TASK3:

  建议:教授要更为关注学生的作业情况;

  R1:了解学生消化知识的情况;

  R2:有助于根据学生的需求调整授课方案;

  听力态度:不同意;

  R1:教授没有时间做反馈,会承受巨大的工作压力;学生自己可以互相做peerreview,分散批改作业。

  R2:教授一直保持着对学生学习情况的了解,每周都与teachingassistant进行沟通。

  TASK4:

  Fear Appeal:[定义]A term used inpsychology, sociology and marketing. It generally describes a strategy formotivating people to take a particular action, endorse a particular policy, orbuy a particular product, by arousing fear.

  [响当当的例子-防冻剂]A well-known example in television advertising was acommercial employing the musical jingle: "Never pick up a stranger, pickup Prestone anti-freeze." This was accompanied by images of shadowystrangers (hitchhikers) who would presumably do one harm if picked up. Thecommercial's main appeal was not to the positive features of Prestoneanti-freeze, but to the fear of what a "strange" brand might do.[From Wikipedia]

  TASK5:

  S1:延长打工的时间;

  S2:去问父母要钱。
