申请结果：Brown, Cornell, UC Berkeley, Johns Hopkins, Emory, U of South California, NYU Stern, Boston College, Georgia Tech and UC San Diego

由于Sunny有过两年的在美国读高中的经历，所以他比起其他同学，没有太多课外活动的经历和体现领导能力的职务。因此，为了体现他成长经历中的个人发展，并平衡他的一些弱项，我们对他已有的经历作了适当的拓展。我们发现在他所有的活动中有一条主线，那就是他为此付出的艰辛的努力。这样的毅力加上他的数学天赋，给我们一个想法，那就是把他的简历单写成statements and proofs 的格式。

Statements	Proofs
Math team taught me not only math, but more importantly “mathmanship”.	ü I thought math contest in America must be a breeze for me after I easily placed first in my school’s competition. ü As a result, I became arrogant and hardly practiced with the team. ü I still got the second highest score on AMC10 in New Jersey in 2007 but failed miserably on the AIME. ü Rather than blaming me, the team encouraged me to come back and try again. ü As I worked with the team more and more, my relationship with the members escalated and my math skills also improved.
Basketball is my redemption in America.	ü Being cut from the team in my sophomore year was miserable and memorable, but I never ceased to improve my basketball skills. ü I practiced in the local park every day in an effort to redeem myself. ü Playing in junior year, the team slogan “We Not Me” made me felt completely embraced despite the rough practices and games. ü Despite language and culture difference, basketball allowed me to bond with new friends.

因为Sunny看上去比较欠缺引人注目的经历和课外活动，我们冥思苦想了一个可能的PS主题。最后，我们通过对他的不断了解，知道了他有许多国际朋友，他最喜欢的癖好之一就是上MSN与他的国外朋友聊天。这给了我们对他的PS有一个启发：

    “Mr. K: I got into Tsinghua!
    Me: What a great way to finish the horrible 12 years before you finally go to college!
    Mr. K: Yeah, I know. I’m so tired of memorizing formulas and doing endless practice problems! I’m so tired of the rankings after every test! I’m so tired of the whole stupid system!
    Me: LOL, I know. But the good thing is that you finished really strong and got into the top college! You have no worries for the rest of your life!
    Mr. K: Yeah, it is a stop, but I still feel unfinished. I really envy the opportunities that you guys have of studying abroad.
To most of my Chinese friends, my journey to America is an object of admiration and jealousy. For in America, I am privileged to study under a more diverse and hands on system, which instills imagination and creativity….

Through updates and encouragements from others, I am reminded of my opportunities. It motivates me every day to work harder than those who were not afforded the same. In many ways I have discovered more of myself, through the views of others.

通过Sunny的案例，我们看到：
