主谓一致是语法考试的一大重点，无论是我们国内的中考还是高考，还是国外的标准化考试中的语法部分，都占有非常重要的地位。因此，主谓一致必然也成了ACT语法考试的一部分了。但是，作为美国高考，对于主谓一致的考察也更加复杂。在开始之前，我们先来看看什么是主谓一致。

　　定义：主谓一致的原则是指，主语和谓语从语法形式上取得一致：主语是单数形式，谓语也采取单数形式;主语是复数形式，谓语亦采取复数形式。下面，我们来看一下ACT语法中对于主谓一致的考察方式：

　　考法一：S+长串修饰+V：主语有比较复杂的定语，甚至是定语从句，所以我们需要先分清句子主干，至于句子主干怎么找，请看以下这个例子：

　　显而易见，matter的主语是these truths，是复数，因此，谓语也要用复数。

　　考法二：N1 ofN2，谓语取决于N1

　　太抽象?比如：

　　这句话真正的主语是谁?the cat? Or the eyes?

　　翻译一下呢?"这只猫的眼睛"，主语当然是眼睛咯。

　　所以N1 of N2,当然N1是主语。
